Walllyrics | Separation Wall Bethlehem
Die Separation Wall zieht sich in Form von Stacheldraht, Sperrzonen und einer 8m
hohen Mauer quer durch Israel und das Westjordanland.
Die Betonmauer hat ein Janusgesicht:
Auf der israelischen Seite — nackter Beton.
Bunt ist nur die palästinensische Seite der Mauer.
Gutes, Schlechtes, Obszönes, Seriöses, Hass, Gewalt, Liebe, Hoffnung,
eine Fundgrube an literarischen Einzelstücken, ein Spielplatz des Fehlerteufels.
"Walllyrics" zeigt nicht die großflächigen künstlerischen Graffiti von Blu, Banksy
und Co. sondern die einzigartige und skurile Schmierereien entlang der Trennmauer.
Aufgeteilt in zwei Büchlein finden sich die 102 Fundstücke einmal in Serifenschrift
auf grauem Papier und einmal als fotografische Dokumentation.

HaMarakiya Jerusalem | Portrait Illustration
I found this passport photos under a glass table in the famous HaMarakiya restaurant in Jerusalem and decided to use them for my portrait illustration class at Bezalel Academy.
The result is a book with rash sketches. Using different styles I tried to catch the character of the face on the photo.
